Build a Report

A report is a generated document — a PDF or CSV — that summarises telemetry, alerts, or billing data for a chosen time range. Use the Reports screen to pick a template, configure what it covers, and generate the document.

  • Owner, Admin, or Engineer role in the project
  • Assets with at least one reporting period’s worth of telemetry — the report shows data for the configured date range, not live values
  • For billing reports: at least one meter with a tariff plan assigned
  1. Navigate to the Reports screen from the project sidebar.

  2. Click New Report to open the report builder.

  3. Choose a template from the gallery. Each template targets a different reporting need:

    Template Use for
Weekly network summary A three-page ops summary — KPIs, fleet health, a trend and per-site readings
Compliance report Threshold adherence — per-asset breach status, exceedance detail, and notes
Billing statement Current-cycle metered consumption and charges, with a per-asset register
Site health report Sensor fleet condition, reservoir levels, and per-site readings
Compliance export A CSV extract — daily reservoir levels against a threshold, with breach status
Raw readings extract A CSV extract — hourly readings per site, the full time series
Blank / Blank extract Start empty and build the document (or query) up yourself
  4. Configure the template — the available options depend on which template you chose:

    • Scope — pick specific assets, a group, or the whole project. Compliance reports typically cover the whole project; billing statements roll up the project’s metered assets.
    • Time range — start and end dates (a paged report defaults to the last 7 days).
    • Query (extracts only) — choose the metric, bucket, reducer, and which columns to include; a source toggle flips the extract between telemetry and billing data.
  5. Click Generate. The report engine runs the template against the configured time range and produces a downloadable document. The report appears in the list with a Download button and a Generated status badge.

The generated report stays in the list permanently — you can download it again at any time. Key performance indicators at the top of the report are the same widgets you configure on dashboards, locked to the report’s time range.

To regenerate a report on a recurring cadence, give it a delivery schedule from the report row. Scheduled reports regenerate automatically in the background via the job queue and appear under the Scheduled filter on the reports screen.

To tune a report before committing a schedule, use Refresh preview — it re‑runs the template against live data without saving.

  • Reports screen — report list, template gallery, and scheduling
  • Billing — per‑meter usage data that feeds the billing extract template
  • Dashboards — report KPI widgets share the same metric catalogue
